The new Igora Drive motorsport complex near Saint Petersburg, Russia, will host a round of Projekt E in its inaugural season next year, completing the five-round schedule.
Igora Drive was confirmed as the series’ third round at the FIA World Motor Sport Council on Wednesday evening, filling the last remaining gap in the calendar of Projekt E’s parent series, the FIA World Rallycross Championship.
The location of the July 18-19 event had been listed as TBA on both the World RX and Projekt E schedules, which came out in recent months, although its placement at Igora Drive is still subject to finalization of the contract.
Projekt E will also visit Belgium, Norway, Germany and Latvia during its inaugural season next year, running on the World RX support bill each time.
Two of Projekt E’s locations, Igora Drive and Nürburgring, are both new tracks to World RX for next season and their rallycross layouts are yet to be finalized.
Grade 1-rated Igora Drive will also host DTM on May 29-31.

GCK Energy Confirmed as World RX Energy Supplier for 2021
GCK Energy has been appointed as official energy supplier when electric cars are introduced into World RX in 2021, as well as for the FIA Junior eRX Championship.
The company is an offshoot of GC Kompetition, a French team that fields Renault Megane RS and Clio RS entries in World RX.
GC Kompetition’s team structure runs entirely on renewable energy during race weekends, harnessed by solar panels on its trucks.
Electric cars will be introduced into World RX alongside ICE cars in 2021, while the Junior eRX Championship will be placed at the bottom of the ladder, with Projekt E between the two.
