STARD has delivered the first customer Projekt E chassis just days after displaying the car at Autosport International show in Birmingham.
Holten Motorsport took delivery of its REVelution powertrain, complete with stock Ford Fiesta bodywork like the demonstration car, on Monday.
The Norwegian team was the first to commit to Projekt E for its debut season, which will get underway in May.
Holten is yet to reveal more details of its program but it plans to run the car with the Ford Fiesta bodywork, although Projekt E regulations allow competitors to fit almost any appropriate body shell to the spec chassis.
A brief statement released by Holten revealed that it plans to begin testing in the first week of February.
Last week, STARD displayed its powertrain and demonstration car at Autosport International and the preceding MIA Energy Efficient Motorsport Conference (pictured below) that took place on Wednesday ahead of ASI’s opening.
STARD CEO Michael Sakowicz presented the REVelution powertrain to MIA members at the conference, which was held to address a number energy-efficient and green aspects and issues facing motorsport.
