Nico Prost secured his first win of the e-Trophee Andros season at Serre Chevalier on Sunday while his DA Racing teammate Jean-Baptiste Dubourg moved into the championship lead.
Prost and Dubourg finished 1-2 in the six-lap Super Finale, separated by two seconds at the line after building a gap over the rest of the field.
The maximum points for winning the final stage of the day was enough to hand the round win to Prost after finishing first and second in the two qualifying races and setting the best time in Super Pole.
It marked the first win of the season for the former Formula E driver, who pilots one of DA Racing’s Renault Zoes which carry support from Renault France.
Despite finishing second in the main race, Dubourg lost out to Yann Ehrlacher in the final standings, with Saturday’s winner separating the two DA Racing drivers in the classification.
Prost ended the day with 67 points, with Ehrlacher on 60 and Dubourg on 59.
Olivier Panis, Andreas Bakkerud and Quentin Giordano completed the top six as the remaining drivers to make it through to the Super Finale.
Long-time championship leader Aurelien Panis finished down in eighth after failing to make it through to Super Pole and the Super Finale, contributing to the Sainteloc Racing driver losing the lead to Dubourg.
Nathanel Berthon won the Finale to solidify seventh place in the classification as the best-placed driver not in the Super Finale, meanwhile.
Eddy Benezet won the Elite class for CMR, meanwhile, ahead of Gerard Fontanel and Louis Gervoson.
Three more rounds will be held to complete the season, with two at Lans en Vercors next weekend and a single round at Super Besse the following Saturday.
