Aurelien Panis claimed his second win in as many rounds with a dominant performance in the e-Trophee Andros’ round at Andorra on Saturday, beating his father Olivier.
Aurelien Panis completed the round with 64 points; just one clear of Olivier Panis, who was classified second in the standings.
Driving one of Sainteloc Racing’s Audi A1 silhouettes, Aurelien finished sixth and first in the two qualifying races and won the Super Finale on Saturday afternoon.
He was clear of his father, who drives one of Sebastien Loeb Racing’s Andros Sport 01s, after the qualifying round but a win for Olivier and only a fourth-place finish for Aurelien in the Super Pole session put them equal on points heading into the Super Finale.
Aurelien took a commanding victory over four laps of the Andorran circuit in the Super Finale, picking up a maximum 16 additional points while Olivier settled for second and 15 points.
The pair of DA Racing Renault Zoes finished third and fourth, with Jean-Baptiste Dubourg ahead of Nico Prost.
Dubourg also placed third in the round’s final standings, but a stronger qualifying performance was enough to move Franck Lagorce to fourth and drop Prost to fifth.
Saturday’s round was scheduled to be the second of the weekend and fourth of the season but all of Friday’s running was canceled due to weather conditions.
Stephane Ventaja claimed the round victory in the Elite class, driving another of Sainteloc’s Audi A1s, ahead of teammate Julien Febreau.
