The identity of the German team entering the Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY was revealed on Friday, with Viessman Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY Team Germany confirming its entry.
The team will run a car for Celia Martin and announced its program at a press conference in Munich, along with partnerships with title sponsor Viessman and Auto Motor und Sport, Telekom Sport and ProSieben.
Martin previously worked as a test driver for the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
“I’m an ambitious person and I want to prove that as a rookie I have the potential to be in the top group,” she said.
“The I-PACE eTROPHY is a completely new series, a world first. It fascinates me to work on it.”
The team will be led by Christian Danner, an ex-Formula 1 driver and head of the Jaguar Driving Academy, while television presenter Andrea Kaiser will act as personal coach to Martin.
Martin attended both pre-season tests at Silverstone and Rockingham, along with the several other drivers who have announced entries into the series.
The single-make championship, using identical race-prepared Jaguar I-PACEs, will get underway in support of the Ad Diriyah E-Prix on Dec. 15.
Additional entrants are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
