Caca Bueno survived a late-race restart to claim his first Jaguar I-PACE eTROPHY victory in Saturday’s round on the streets of Sanya.
The Brazilian, who started from pole, led the entire race, which was interrupted by a red flag for the No. 8 China Jaguar Racing entry of Tao Wang who stopped on track.
Once Wang’s car was retrieved, racing resumed with six minutes left on the clock after a time adjustment by race control.
Bueno managed to hold off Simon Evans by 1.576 seconds in the remaining laps.
It marked the fourth different Pro class winner in as many races in the all-electric single-make championship, which debuted in Saudi Arabia in December.
Bryan Sellers extended his points lead with a third place finish in the No. 6 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Jaguar, while an aggressive move from Sergio Jiminez on Stefan Rzadzinski saw the Brazilian snatch fourth in the closing minutes.
Jimenez came back from a two-position grid penalty for contact in the previous race.
Pro-Am class honors went to the No. 12 Saudi Racing Jaguar of Bandar Alesayi, who finished in seventh overall, while VIP driver David Cheng recorded a top-ten in his entry.
