Oliver Rowland set a sub 50-second lap to lead the way in Free Practice 2 for today’s ABB FIA Formula E Championship Monaco E-Prix.
The Nissan e.dams driver posted a best lap of 49.847 around Formula E’s 1.09-mile Monaco harborfront circuit to lead the way in the last practice run before qualifying.
Jean-Eric Vergne and Andre Lotterer set the second and third-best times, with the DS Techeetah teammates also dipping under the 50-second barrier.
Fourth-fastest in FP2 was Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Alex Lynn on a 50.042, ahead of Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler’s Lucas di Grassi who set the pace in Free Practice 1.
Pascal Wehrlein came through in sixth with a time of 50.130 behind the wheel of his Mahindra M5Electro while Alexander Sims placed seventh in the order, ahead of Felipe Massa.
Rounding out the top 10 were di Grassi’s teammate Daniel Abt and Envision Virgin Racing driver Sam Bird.
Championship leader Robin Frijns placed down in 19th place driving the other Audi-powered Envision Virgin machine.
Qualifying for the third Monaco E-Prix, which takes place this afternoon, is set to get underway at 11:45 a.m. local time (05:45 eastern).
