ROKiT Signs Multi-Year Title Deal with Venturi Racing

Venturi Racing has confirmed a new title partnership with global telecommunications company ROKiT and will now be known officially as ROKiT Venturi Racing.

The three-year deal, which has been announced on the eve of the 2019-20 ABB FIA Formula E Championship season, will see the Mercedes-Benz EQ Silver Arrow 01 cars of Edoardo Mortara and Felipe Massa sporting new red and black liveries.

The ROKiT brand is currently active in Formula 1 as the Williams team’s title partner for the 2019 season.

That deal was extended from an initial three years to five, taking the collaboration up to the end of the 2023 F1 campaign.

Founded by business innovator and philanthropist John-Paul DeJoria and entrepreneur Jonathan Kendrick, the ROKiT Group has recently launched an international venture to aid the development of smart cities through the new ROKiT Cities brand.

The brand’s aim is to create smart cities in 10 different countries over the next three years through the introduction of cost-effective connections.

“I view this as the last piece of the jigsaw that had to come together and it was really important to find the right partner,” team principal Susie Wolff told e-racing365.

“As soon as I met Jonathan [Kendrick] I realized it was the perfect fit as he in his own industry is very much a pioneer and visionary.

“The reason why Formula E was such a good fit for him was that one pillar of their business is called ROKiT Smart Cities where they put internet connection into city centres so obviously the synergy of Formula E racing in city centres was obviously a perfect fit.”

Venturi Racing initially competed with predominantly red and black colours in its first three Formula E seasons before opting for a silver design in 2017-18.

Kendrick, who is the Chairman of ROK Brands and a ROKiT co-founder, said that the Monegasque team was an ideal partner for the company.

“After meeting with the Venturi Racing team, there was no doubt in my mind that they are the ideal partner for ROKiT in Formula E,” he said.

“The ROKiT brand has fast become synonymous with doing things differently, we trailblaze.

“Formula E is breaking new ground and we’ve excited to see where the championship can go, the city centre locations and rapidly growing fanbase make it a perfect platform from which to communicate ROKiT Cities.”
