Panasonic Jaguar Racing has released a concept livery for its I-TYPE 3 that will race in the ABB FIA Formula E Championship next season.

It comes after the British manufacturer’s first test with the new car last month at Monteblanco, with Nelson Piquet Jr. at the wheel in the official group outing.

Mitch Evans is in line to sample the car at the next test, which is scheduled in Calafat.

“We joined the championship so that we could take learnings from Formula E and directly transfer them from race to road to help shape future electric vehicles for Jaguar Land Rover,” said team principal James Barclay.

“The concept livery of the Jaguar I-TYPE 3 is a progression from this season’s race car which we will unveil later this year.”

Jaguar, which entered Season Four with an all-new powertrain and revised operational structure, currently sits fourth in the teams’ championship after scoring points in each of the six rounds held so far.

Evans scored the team’s first podium finish in Hong Kong late last year.
