Mitch Evans led the way during the second free practice session ahead of this afternoon’s ABB FIA Formula E Championship Marrakesh E-Prix.
The Panasonic Jaguar Racing driver posted his best time of 1:17.262 right at the end of the mid-morning session to lead by 0.249 seconds from DS Techeetah’s Andre Lotterer.
Sebastien Buemi lapped third-quickest for Nissan e.dams on a 1:17.567, while Ad Diriyah Antonio Felix da Costa slotted into fourth for BMW i Andretti Motorsport.
The times in FP2 were slightly quicker than Saturday’s early morning session, with the top six drivers dipping under Robin Frijns’ benchmark from the first track action of the day.
Frijns ended second practice in fifth for the Envision Virgin Racing squad, improving on his FP1 time, while Oliver Rowland turned in the sixth-best effort in the second Nissan e.dams car.
FP2 passed without major incident as most drivers completed over a dozen laps in sunny conditions, with the exception being Lucas di Grassi who only ran a single flying lap in his Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler which had a suspected water pump issue.
Qualifying is set to get underway at 12:00 p.m local time (6 a.m ET, 11 a.m. UK). Click here for international live coverage options.
