Panasonic Jaguar Racing’s Mitch Evans paced the second Free Practice session ahead of this afternoon’s ABB FIA Formula E Championship Paris E-Prix.

Evans posted a time of 1:00.226 during a flurry of full-power qualifying simulation laps to top the leaderboard heading into qualifying for round eight of the all-electric series.

Second-quickest was Nissan e.dams driver Oliver Rowland, 0.103 seconds off Evans’ marker, while Lucas di Grassi lapped third for Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler.

Di Grassi and Frijns, who were both involved in incidents during Saturday morning’s chaotic FP1 session, managed to get on-track for FP2 which took place in dry and bright conditions.

Sam Bird, on the other hand, did not head out to complete a lap after his Envision Virgin machine incurred damage during a crash that brought the day’s opening session to a premature end.

FP1 pace-setter Andre Lotterer ran fourth quickest on a time of 1:00.397 in second practice, ahead of Rowland’s teammate Sebastien Buemi and Audi driver Daniel Abt.

Buemi’s session was curtailed slightly by an awkward spin coming through the final sequence of corners, while Jose Maria Lopez and Alex Lynn both nosed into the Tecpro barriers at the chicane.

Neither car appeared to sustain noticeable damage.

Qualifying for the fourth Paris E-Prix at Circuit des Invalides is set to take place at 11:45 a.m. local time (5:45 a.m. EDT).
