Jerome D’Ambrosio was quickest in a red-flag affected Free Practice 3 in New York City.

The Mahindra Racing driver reeled off a 1:09.712 lap time, as the only driver to complete a qualifying sim lap in 250 kW power in the 45-minute scheduled session.

The session was halted for more than 10 minutes due to a manhole cover that had come loose on the Brooklyn Street Circuit and restarted with 15 minutes left on the clock.

A second red flag came out for an accident by the HWA Racelab entry of Gary Paffett with less than five minutes remaining, with the session not restarting due to further work needing to be done on the manhole cover.

It resulted in limited track time for ABB FIA Formula E Championship competitors ahead of this afternoon’s season finale.

Robin Frijns ended up second quickest for Envision Virgin Racing, followed by BMW i Andretti Motorsport’s Alexander Sims.

Daniel Abt and Oliver Rowland completed the top-five.

Alex Lynn, who failed to finish yesterday’s race, meanwhile, will face a 20-position grid penalty for a MGU change. The Englishman was 9th quickest in the session.

Qualifying gets underway at 11:45 a.m. EDT.
