Both of the Dragon Racing and Techeetah Formula E teams will have new team managers for the fourth season of the championship.
Former Techeetah team manager David Stubbs has moved across to Dragon Racing, while Techeetah has replaced Stubbs with Campbell Hobson (pictured above).
Stubbs joined Techeetah officially at the beginning of 2017 and was given a large amount of credit for pulling the team together after the new owners SECA purchased the slot vacated by the Team Aguri outfit in the summer of 2016.
Stubbs is a former Williams F1, Jaguar, Stewart and Status Grand Prix team manager and counts on over 35 years of experience in motor racing.
He joins Dragon Racing to work closely with Nigel Beresford, who put the team together at owner Jay Penske’s behest in 2014.
Beresford will now focus on the engineering aspects of the operation after previously having a joint role in both engineering and team management.
“The opportunity to bring Dave to the team was too good to miss, especially as it arose just at the right time for us,” Beresford told e-racing365.
“Obviously he has tremendous experience at the highest levels of the sport with a range of front running teams, but of equal importance was the fact that everyone we spoke to only had only good things to say about him and the way he interacts with people.
“That really matters when you are bringing someone in to a relatively small group which is dealing with the high pressure situation of a Formula E race day.”
Beresford also confirmed to e-racing365 that F1, IRL and Indycar veteran Andy Brown has joined Dragon Racing.
Brown will work predominantly with Neel Jani this season and comes with vast experience after working with Adrian Newey at Leyton House in the 1980s through to CART experience with Galmer and PacWest in the 90s.
Like Stubbs, new Techeetah team manager Hobson is a former Status Grand Prix employee. Before that, he was a performance engineer for GP2 and GP3 team Arden Motorsport.
Hobson joined Techeetah in July 2016 where he held the position of chief race engineer before taking on his new position with Chinese-owned team last month.
