The Mahindra Formula E team has announced details of a new Formula E car livery competition for its Season 4 challenger.

The Mahindra M4Electro, which ran for the first time at July’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, will run with a design submitted by a member of the public. This is the second season that Mahindra has run the contest with the first winner being Adria Haro Jorba from Spain.

As well as the winning livery adorning the new Mahindra cars in season four, the new successful artist will be allocated a day of working at the world famous Pininfarina studio in Turin, Italy. Mahindra acquired the legendary design house in 2016.

Team principal Dilbagh Gill, who has taken an active and personal interest in generating the contest to find the teams’ new livery, has coined the phrase “passioneers” to describe the artistic and engineering synergies that exist in Formula E and particularly around the team which he runs.

“The enthusiasm of our passioneers during previous #DrivenbyDesign contests encouraged us to give them yet another opportunity to showcase their design flair and creativity,” he said. “The entire Mahindra Racing team can’t wait to see what they come up with for the livery our new M4Electro race car.”

Entries have to be submitted via drivenbydesign.mahindrafe.com The deadline for submissions is 10 a.m. UTC on Sept. 18.
