Daniel Abt has lost his victory in the second Hong Kong E-Prix after being disqualified for a technical infringement relating to barcode stickers on inverter and the MGU of his car.

The decision means that Felix Rosenqvist inherits the win and 25 points, with Edoardo Mortara and Mitch Evans moving up to second and third places, respectively.

The official notification bulletin issued by the FIA quoted a breach of article 3.2; 24.17 & 28.4 and article 3.1 of the technical regulations.

It read: “The FIA security stickers [barcodes] on the inverter and MGU units did not correspond with those declared on the Technical Passport provided by the competitor Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler for the event.”

Abt and therefore Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler lose their first victory, while Rosenqvist is now a two-time winner in Formula E.

Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler has elected to appeal the decision.

RESULTS: Race 2 (Revised)
